We are very excited to celebrate “A Walk Down Memory Lane” on Friday, June 8th, 2018 as we bid farewell to the E.J. Sand building that has been a landmark in Thornhill since 1959. Doors will open at 4:30 pm and all activities and food will be available until 7:30 pm. Please note that E.J. Sand Staff will be involved in various activities around the school and will not be available to supervise students. All students should be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the evening.
We have booked our various service providers and require all students and families to purchase tickets in advance, so that we have a clear idea of the number of people we will need to accommodate at various stations. There will be no ticket sales the evening of June 8th.
Please note that there will be NO REFUNDS in the event of rain or any other unforeseen circumstances, as all service providers have been paid in advance. Most events will continue rain or shine and we will move/ relocate those that require indoor space.
Our entire school will be open for a stroll down memory lane. Come walk into classrooms and enjoy the beautiful art that will be on display from our current students. Leave your mark on E.J. Sand in a commemorative art display. The celebration continues outside for our fun fair, where we will have bumper balls, air brush tattoos, bouncy castles, food, mad dash games and a dunk tank. The evening will end with a special talent show performance by our very own E.J. Sand students.
A limited number of table (stalls) will be available to sell your own merchandise (no food allowed) for only $25 per table. Please speak to Mr. Wolkoff by May 31st if you are interested.
We look forward to sharing a fun and exciting evening with our E.J. Sand community! Please support our Farewell to the E.J. Sand building and come out to an evening filled with rides, food and entertainment!
